Computer Science Engineering:
B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering program is designed
to create globally competent manpower for the information and communication
technology (ICT) industry. At the same time, it is also designed to prepare the
student for post graduate education in the best universities across the globe.
These twin objectives are accomplished by including an optimal mix of
fundamental theory subjects and practical, current and industry relevant
subjects in the scheme of study.
For example, subjects such as data structures, algorithms,
finite automata and formal languages, object oriented programming, graph theory
and computer organization apart from advanced courses in mathematics such as
linear algebra provide a solid foundation in the science of computing. To build

microprocessors, software engineering and Java programming among many others
prepare the student not only for the Indian IT industry but also for

Job Prospects of a Computer Science Engineer:
Computer science and engineering graduates find their
footing in system study, analysis, design and programming. Computer engineers
design, develop and maintain software. They are engaged in analyzing problems
for solutions, formulating and testing, using advanced communications or
multi-media equipment or working in teams for product development.
Computer Engineers can work as a Software/ Hardware
Engineer, which are the two main sectors in the computer industry. They can
work as programmers, web developers and E- commerce specialists with industries
that build or use computer-based systems, such as telecommunications,
automotive, aerospace, petroleum, chemical and power plants etc. They are also in demand in management
consultancy organizations.
Computer engineers can get jobs in non-IT companies like
universities, research, private and public industries, government departments,
business organizations, commercial organizations and the manufacturing sector,
etc.
Besides the Computer Engineers have plenty of options to
work in IT companies in departments such as design, development, assembly,
manufacture and maintenance, etc. Working as programmer, web developer, and E-
commerce specialist with telecommunications companies, automotive companies, aerospace
companies, etc. can be a lucrative career option as well. Moreover, numerous
national and multi-national computer manufacturing companies, computer hardware
system design and development companies, computer networking companies,
software development companies, etc. require computer professionals in large
numbers.

The department was started in the year 1997 and has highly
skilled, qualified and experienced faculty members. With an annual intake of 60
students The department has been progressively working towards producing
masters who are well equipped to serve the needs of the present and the future
industry requirement and in turn contributing to the society.
Computer Science and Engineering Department has a rich set
of well-qualified, dedicated and experienced STAFF MEMBERS in the field of
computer software and hardware. Several staff members are currently doing their
research work and are involved in taking care of several software projects. The
department of Computer science and engineering constantly organizes seminars
and other interactive programs to keep the student community updated about the
