College Details:

JSS Academy of Technical Education, Bangalore was started in the year 1997 at Bangalore and is under the JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysore.

The institute is the result of the vision of our president, His holiness Sri Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji to proactively participate in establishing a world class institution for technical education.

The Campus is located in a 21.17 acres land surrounded by green plantation on the South-Western edge of Bangalore City. Institution is associated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum.

The institute has an excellent infrastructure with the state-of-the art equipment and machinery as laboratory facilities. The institution has spacious classrooms and the laboratories. The institute has highly qualified faculty.

The institute has a centralized library with open access facility for students. Digital library with on-line access to international journals are available. There is a book bank facility for needy students.

Master of Technology (M.Tech):-

Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field. ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis.

Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry. The residence requirements for ME/M.Tech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere. If someone wants to carry out the thesis work in a company, or at some other educational institution, it is allowed by the Institute.

Placement Services:

The placement department got a head start during the academic year 2002-03. The brilliance, dynamism and high academic performance of students made it possible for the department to attract high profile recruiters. In 2003, our college was placed in 8th place among the top 10 colleges in Karnataka, under VTU.

This was one of the factors which contributed for admirable functioning of the placement department. The department is not only conducting recruitment process but also organizing necessary personality development programs for the students. The Average placement is 95%.
