BNM Institute of
Technology, Bangalore set up in the Year 2001 with an intake of 120
students and currently headed by Dr. B.G. Prasad, the Department of Computer
Science & Engineering at BNMIT is renowned for imparting state of the art
education and also carrying out cutting edge research.
The Main goal of the department is to provide academic
excellence, knowledge and nurture talent in the area of Computer Science. It
has attracted some of the brightest students and faculty into its portals. Some
of the Faculty members have graduated from prestigious Institutions like IIT, NIT,
etc.
In addition to a strong UG program, the Department also
offers 2 PG programs and has provided R&D facilities under VTU for Ph.D.
and M.Sc. (Engg.) courses. The Department also undertakes research projects
sponsored by the government agencies like VTU- VGST, AICTE, etc.
Master of Technology or M.Tech:
Master of Technology or MTech is a post graduation course of
engineering. MTech is a next step
towards excellence after successful completion of bachelor of engineering or
Bachelor of technology program.
Master of Technology is a postgraduate degree program. The
course helps an aspirant to specialize in any engineering and technology
subject to be familiar with the vast applications of the concerned subject.
Many Engineering colleges and institutes offer the program and students can
pursue the program as a part time program or on a regular basis.

The Department of Training and Placement of BNMIT is an
active centre throbbing with various activities all through the year. The
vision of the placement cell is to help students to achieve their career
objectives through systematic training in soft and technical skills and
exposure to corporate environment through campus placements. It acts as a
liaison between the industry and students in order to fulfill the ambition of
the students in getting the right job and at the same time provide the industry
the much needed fresh talents for the growth.

Mode of Selection: PGCET / GATE
The admission to M.Tech programs is done through the
entrance test conducted by the Visvesvaraya Technological University.
