Sapthagiri Engineering College (SCE), Bangalore was started in 2001. The college is recognized by AICTE and associated to Visvesvaraya Technological University.

Master of Technology (M.Tech):

Master of Technology (M.Tech) is a post graduate degree that engineers can opt for. Generally, if a student has a good understanding of technical subjects and he wishes to enhance his skills in the field of Engineering or technology, it is advisable that he pursue an M.Tech course from recognized institutes of the country.

Master of Technology (M. Tech) is a specialization course where a candidate focuses on a sub domain or a sub field of the engineering graduation course completed in Bachelor’s program. With a M. Tech post graduation degree you can expect a faster growth in industry both post wise and salary wise compared to only Bachelor’s graduates.

Course Description:

Sapthagiri College of Engineering offers M.Tech
It is a 2 year full time course spread over 8 semesters
The course is to train the students in high level theoretical knowledge which enables them to tackle practical complex problems of design and development in the industrial field as well as pursue further academic achievement through research
The Course shall be called Master of Technology Course, abbreviated as M.Tech. (Subject of Specialization).The course shall extend over a period of four semesters of total duration of 24 months.

Eligibility:

Admission to the Master of Technology Course shall be open to all the candidates who have passed B.E. / B.Tech. Examinations (in relevant field) of VTU or any other University / Institution or equivalent examination recognized by the University.

Admission to M.Tech:

Course shall be open to the candidates who have passed the prescribed qualifying examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations.

In the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and Group I, the aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examinations shall not be less than 45%.
